Personally due to being unemployed for two years, going through bankruptcy and medical problems. Technically because the site was hacked/defaced and I lost my server hosting.
Needless to say I didn't have the money, facilities or motivation to rebuild it.
I've managed to work through the personal problems, though money is still quite tight trying to get the bills and mortgage caught up (I came within two weeks of looking me house). I am currently working supporting a data center for a large hosting company and am hosting my server there.
